Regina Short Named Director of 5th Floor, Oncology 

Rome, GA; Regina Short has been named Director of 5th floor Medical/ Oncology and Outpatient Oncology. Short is responsible for compliance with regulatory nursing standards. She also develops and implements organizational and/or unit policies and procedures. Short is also responsible for monitoring patient care for ethical, legal and safe conduct. 
 
Short has worked in healthcare for 13 years with her entire career spent at Redmond.  She has worked in a variety of roles including staff nurse and charge nurse on the cardiac step-down unit and staff nurse and nurse manager for observation. She has also served as nurse manager for nursing admissions, bed placement and the congestive heart failure clinic.
 
Short earned her Associates in Nursing degree from Floyd College.  She is a Certified Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor and a Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  She is also a member of the Georgia Nursing Association and the Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders.
 
Short and her husband James have two sons and reside in Cedartown.
